Hey Kat :) I have a job interview on Thursday and was just wondering what makeup would be appropiate ? I know not much and not too bright colours and things. But what do you think ? Also any hair styles for medium hair if you know any :) I have green eyes, I dont know if that will help you :P hope your ok and thankyou in advance :) xx
Well makeup for job interview, less is more, much more! They don’t like too much makeup, they want to see you not a “mask”. My advice is, thin eye liner, mascara, foundation, powder, light blush and a light pink, red lipstick. This is an ultimate makeup and you can’t make any mistake. If you want to use eye shadow, read my post, but just light colours, not too much. Try to stay nature! http://katsmakeup.tumblr.com/post/27899706601/eye-shadow-green-eyes-mint-green-water-blue
Well I can’t say anything…I didn’t promote my blog, I made it and 7 monts later Tumblr send me a message they want to put my blog into the Spotlighted blogs. So now I’m there. Which is a really big thing for me. :)
Heeya kat, I loove your blog. Here's my question. I would like to wear make up, specifically eyeshadow but I have one blue eye and one green. No pigment in the blue one. So I was wondering what kind of makeup I should use that matches both eyes? Thanks
Well try the matching colours, like - any shade of the brown or any shade of blue. Both the colours are good for these eye colours. So hopefully it’s gonna work.
hello there, I was wondering, I have hazel eyes that look rather brown, but when up close, you can see that they are really green, and I would like the green to stand out. here is the thing though, I don't particularly like the look of purple eyeshadow on me and I already wear brown eyeliner but that doesn't work as well as id like it to, any suggestions?
Well if you want to make the green stand out, read this post I made yestarday. It can help you to find the colour that you like and it doesn’t have to be the purple ;)
Hi Kat, I am extremely interested in becoming a makeup artist and I really have so much passion and love for it. I want to pursue it as a career but I currently cannot afford a course. Do you train any assistances by any chance? Or do you take anyone on for work experience? I don't know where to start, but I am so passionate about it.I love some of your work. Love Gabriella xxxx
That’s more then really nice :) Thank you so much! It mean a lot to me, but the only problem I’m from Hungary and I’m really afraid of that you are not :( If I would live around you, I would say OF COURSE!
The only thing I can say watch tutorila video, read books. I started my makeup carrier before the makeup school. If you have the talent and the passion, it will work. I started with my friends and friends firends…etc. Later on I could work as a free lanced makeup artist so I could go peoples place and did party makeup…etc. :) It’s a long way but if you want to do this it’s worth it!
Hi Kat! I'm 17 and really just starting out with different eye shadows and I love that bright lipstick is really in now. I have dark brown eyes and an almondy, sometimes reddish brown tone to my skin. What eye shadows and lip colors do you think I should start with?
Rule! If you use a strong eye shadow, don’t use strong lipstick, just lip gloss, balm or light colour lipstick. OR Don’t use eye shadow just a Nude makeup and strong colour lipstick. I can’t tell what colour you sould use, any colour which is fit with your face and personality. If you want you can use black or red or purple…anything ;)
Hello Kat! Okay I have a bit of a situation here, sometimes I look at myself in the mirror and it appears that I have no nose at all, then other times the fact that I have a nose is quite noticable. What is going on here, is my makeup to blame or something more sinister? Thanks! xx
Humm… Maybe the makeup is not good. Do you use concealer or foundation?
Hey my skin is really sensitive to make-up removers even the ones made for sensitive skin -_- do you know any that I could possibly test out and see or a way that doesn't involve using make-up removers? Xx
I use baby wipes. It’s much better then makeup removers. Because it’s made for babies it’s good for any sensitive skin. It should not cause any problem.
Hey Kat (: I have really weird/bad skin on my face :( It's dry in some spots, I have pimples, and I always have dark circles under my eyes that NEVER go away :( I hate them so much! Any ideas on how to get rid of all this?
Hey, what should I do with my eyeshadow if one of my eyes are really, dark (almost black!) brown and the other is a light, muddy brown? Usually I just go without makeup but lately I've been feeling insecure... Much thanks! xx
I have very very fair skin. Like porcelain and I can never find a foundation that matches my skin. I like a pretty heavy coverage and the closest thing I have come to is Covergirl and Olay Simply Ageless Concealer in 205. The lightest foundation is way too dark so I have to use the concealer. However, it causes me pretty bad acne sometimes. Do you have any other suggestions that won't cause acne and might actually match my skin?
I have horrible black heads and acne scaring. Any tips? Even a good concealer I can buy in Australia under $20? If possible...
Well clean you face with face cleansers, it will help a lot to get rid of the black heads. Use a medium coverage foundation and powder + concealer. But if you don’t have to don’t use makeup while you have black heads, because it will cause more. And every night when you go to bed clean your face, don’t leave any makeup on.
My eyelashes are super long but the ends are blond so they don't look it. I want to put mascara on so my eyelashes look thicker but if I put it on normally then it just looks way to dramatic and it just doesn't look good. What shall I do?! Like how do I apply it so they don't end up looking stupid?Thankyou<3xoxo
Hey Kat! I am fourteen and have really dark brown eyes..I usually only wear a little bit of black eyeliner on my top lid and mascara. I'm getting sick of the black and I want to use a bright colour.. What do you suggest?
hi kat i'm a 17 and i have a light brown complexion i want to know the kind of foundation i should use on daily basis like when i go out and stuff not for parties something that doesn't affect my skin quality and looks natural plus gives me an even skin tone AND one more thing what do i do to hide my dark circles
I would suggest tinted moisturizer. These ones has light coverage. Alll the brands (MAC, NARS, Bourjois, Too Faced, Benefit, Max Factor…etc.) have tinted moisturizer. :)
Try Krylan - Dermacolour, concealer. I think that’s the best one.
